Back to A2

We made it back home on Saturday. The boys are doing really well with the adjustment back. Timmy didn't seem to recognize the old place until the next day. He was so excited to see all his "new" old toys and books. Scott put together his blue racecar toddler bed, and he slept in it that night. He kept pointing to his bedspread and saying "Car"&"vroomm." (Thanks Aunt Janet and Uncle Dan!) So far, he has slept in it 4 nights in a row. He has gotten up once each night to cry for a bit, but he doesn't get out of the bed. I think once we give him a few more nights, he'll get used to it.

Sunday, Timmy went to nursery without ANY crying! First time since we left that he would do that. I think it was a combination of 1. recognizing his old crew, 2. earlier church time (not during nap time), and 3. the great leaders there, who somehow managed to get 20 nursery kids SILENT for the prayer. I was totally AMAZED! You could hear this little girl clearly whispering the prayer even though she was saying it very softly.

We are almost all settled back in. After I sort yet another round of baby clothes, and get them packed away, I think we will be back on a schedule.

Update of the Boyz

Here's Timmy at Nursery with Caleb. He's been doing really well in nursery. Just when he's all used to it, we're moving back to Ann Arbor. We hope he recognizes his friends and gets comfortable there quickly.
Aaron is all smiles lately. He's just a sweetheart!

Here's Timmy's girlfriend, Julie. She's Egyptian and adorable! You might say this was his "first date." He brought Julie to the Primary Colors Fair at the church. They got to play lots of fun games, make crafts and have snacks.
Lakewood Park. There is a great little path down to the shore of Lake Erie where you can see a nice skyline of the city.
It was foggy from the heat this day, but still really cool. Thanks for the tip Candace!

More Please

Timmy said "More Please" yesterday and today. That is the first time he has put two words together both in sign and speech!! Yay Timmy!

Cleveland Zoo

We decided to go to the zoo for just a few hours and just spend the whole time in one little area (so as not to overtire ourselves). Of course, we ended up walking the ENTIRE zoo and seeing almost every exhibit. :) Tiring but fun day. Complete with Aaron blowing out of his diaper....which is becoming a daily occurance. :)
Feeding the birds with nectar.
This was definately the biggest butterfly I have EVER seen!
The seals were Timmy's favorite, and therefore our favorite exhibit.

Holden Arboretum

We visited Holden Arboretum last Saturday. It has some beautiful gardens, ponds and orchards.
Scott's hat is a favorite toy lately.

What a great daddy!
At our BBQ with Scott's co-workers. We ate royally and played Corn Hole. It's becoming quite the popular sport here in Ohio. Scott even played it at his last NASA conference!

Downtown

Scott humored me with a trip downtown to eat. We ate at Sokalowski's, a Polish restaurant. Here's the view. We actually had a fun time there and the food was excellent! We highly recommend it to anyone who happens to be in Cleveland.

Hanging Around

Taking a walk in the Metropark
At this little bog, you can see turtles, frogs and muskrats.
The lovely golf course
Aaron with his new haircut. We decided to mow his lawn a little earlier than we did Timmy's when he was a baby...avoid the mocking. :) Both their hair sticks straight up!
We finally broke down and bought some clippers. Timmy and Scott had their haircut too.
With three boys in the house, I thought it a wise investment.
