Happy 10th Birthday Aaron!

Aaron chose to go to Laser Tag at XtremeCraze with 4 school friends and Timmy this year

We had pizza and fruit afterwards.....

Played games in the basement and outside....

.....played basketball, hoverboarding, electric scooter, and went for a short hike to make Aaron find one of his gifts on the trail.
Aaron loves LEMON, so he had lemon cupcakes, lemon pudding AND lemon ice cream for dessert.

He got FOUR Magic the Gathering Packs at his party, and 2 money gifts to buy more!
He also got another pack last Sunday, so he is rolling in the Magic Cards!

Thank you EVERYONE for your wonderful cards, gifts and well wishes!
Aaron appreciated it so much!

May, Memorial day and Last days of School!

Place your bets!  If Cora kisses this frog, will it turn into a prince?
The boys attended a camp out to earn their "railroading" merit badge.

They learned about how the railroad in Boston works.
Aaron said he'll never cross railroad tracks again because they are so dangerous.
They learned that a lot of people die from not paying attention around railroad tracks!
The boys also helped the YM/YW with their pizza fundraiser.
They made and delivered pizzas to families to earn money for this years summer camps and youth conference at church.

Scott went to D.C. for a work conference

We had a date night to celebrate our 14th anniversary.  We went to Mill No. 5 in Lowell.
Scott had been telling me about it for 2 years, and I hadn't been. Plus we had gift certificates we got at Christmas that we still hadn't used.

We had a cheese plate appetizer at Mill City Cheesemongers.
Adam - I know cheese platters are your favorite.  If you come out, we can recommend this one!
It was $16 for this tiny little plate, but it was SOOOO good.

We ate dinner at Cotton and Coffee.
This Umami bowl was amazing!  We also had a Fallafel Wrap.  I would eat there again in a heartbeat.  We don't eat out much, so this was a big treat.

The good ol' "eat the olives off my finger" trick

The kids are going to pen pal with some children in Tamal, India
These are the pictures and letters they wrote to them.

Magic the Gathering Cards are BIG at our house.
Here is Aaron sorting some of the new cards he got for his birthday.
They enjoy meeting up to play MTG with their friends too.

Timmy played his trombone in the town Memorial Day Parade

They had a HOT ceremony at the cemetery that followed honoring those who had died as they defended and served our country.  The kids did great even though they had to sit in the sun.

After the parade, we decided to hike Pergatory Falls.
The mosquitos were definitely out, but besides that, it was a very nice hike.
The Falls were very pretty and the river was lots of fun to play in!

The kids had several end-of-year school performances.
First, Timmy performed in the 5th grade choir the musical "School House Rock"
Oliver and Cora loved the music

Timmy and Aaron had their band concerts.
Timmy even performed a song with a small quintet on his trombone, and Aaron played a solo on the bells.
Cora had her end-of-year preschool event.  The kids showed us their songs, slideshow and T-shirts they made.

Ollie asks to go to school with Cora all the time.  He can't wait to go to preschool.
One more year buddy!

Cora loved the field day games and getting her face painted.

The plants that we planted with Mike and Baerbel in the Fall survived!  Yay!

I just have to say that I'm in a stage where 4 kids at home can get crazy.  Sometimes it's just being too rowdy, or fighting, or too many people asking me for help at the same time.
I am grateful for TV to give us sometimes 20-60 Minutes
to just chill out and get ready for dinner or bed.

This is what my kids' faces look like when you turn on a show.  Instant calm & quiet.  It's a miracle.

We've been enjoying meeting up with other preschoolers for a playgroup this year.
We meet at parks, at each others houses, at museums, zoos, and indoor play areas.
It's helped the kids to make friends and for us to see more of the area.

We enjoyed having our friends, Justin and Jenn & their kids for dinner
and showing them our hiking trail.

I got a whole Saturday to go to the Northern New England Women's Conference in Manchester NH
It was awesome!  Like a mini-BYU education week.  I got to go early to  rehearse and sing "The Lord is my Light" with the women's choir and attend 3 classes.  A lot of women I knew from Acton were there too, so I enjoyed reconnecting with them.

We have wanted to bike the 3 mile rail trail to Derry, have pizza at a restaurant,
and bike back for many months.  We finally did it yesterday!
