Outing

Cora, Ollie, and I went out to the woods last week and collected "intersting" or "intrastring" samples, then went down to my lab and checked them out on the microscope.  The digital microscope didn't have a huge magnification, so all of those pictures aren't awesome, but the little analog microscope was much better.  Anyway, it was nice to hang out with them and do a little project on a Saturday!

This was during our sample collection

Happy 42nd Birthday Scott, XC awards

Scott turned 42 on a Fast Sunday.   No fancy breakfast for him!
He got to wake up early and go to bishopric meeting, and stay after for some tithing.
Then, we had gifts and dinner:  Sweet potatoes (that he made himself), plus chicken and 3 kinds of vegetables that I prepped.)
Then we had cheesecake and Ice Cream Cones
Then, he went to another youth prep. meeting from 4-6 pm
And then, he went to visit a sick member of the church until late.

Hey - not a birthday dreams are made of or anything, BUT.....we were together......AND......
I did manage to surprise the heck out of him with a new phone & case (he couldn't have been more surprised!), a fancy gardening tool, and a dry bag.
Cora got him some mints he loves and the boys got him a fancy ping pong paddle!

So, we will play on his un-birthday!

Awards night for Cross Country!

I have been helping with the 4th annual pie fundraiser for Compassion Takes Action

I am hosting 3 pie making days.  It's a lot of work, but a very good cause!
Luckily I had help!

Cora's short story for school entitled:
"The time I visited Taya"  (Taiha)

Updated Photo of Baby Salil
Can't wait to see him in December

Scott got his log shaved down finally the way he wanted it!  He even managed to bike across it for the first time!

Cora and Anna were reunited with old friends from WAG at the Wagarette show last Friday

They were so excited to see their favorite people!

Tim and Aaron had an altercation with the law...sort of

They got to tour the police station with their young men's group!

My dear friend, Lisa, helped Tim with Trombone one afternoon while I read with her girls and helped her son with his saxaphone.   Here's Nessa in the Hammock reading to me.

Look closely......

Can you see Candice 30 ft up in the tree??
They are so brave!
