Going Private

Hello family and friends,

After getting a few emails regarding child safety, etc, and rather than feeling we have to be super careful about disclosing our names, city, and places we visit, we are going to make our blog private.
We will send you an invitation to view the blog, if we have your email. (But if we don't, we need you to call, email or write us a comment and give us your email so we can send you an invitation.)

After you see the blog the first time, you can have your computer 'remember you' and you won't need to sign in to read the blog every time. We hope this won't deter you from keeping in touch.

Katie's sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm not. I think you all deserve it. The whole lot of ya. (Katie really shouldn't have shared the password to our blog with me. )

May Days

This week we enjoyed the beautiful spring weather, and even the rain. I'm so glad we haven't needed to pull out the A/C unit yet. It has been cool enough outside that when the apartment gets hot, I can just open the doors/windows and get cool air coming in.

Whilst Scott has enjoyed fishing and canoing with his family this week, I have enjoyed having friends over for lunch, hiking in Kensington Park, taking day naps, reading TIME, babysitting for temple day, reading the Book of Mormon, enjoying Timmy, catching up on email checking, and hanging out with my awesome neighbors.

We have had a good time, but have also missed Scott very much. Timmy has been very patient with me. Sometimes he has been out way past his nap time, and he's been really good and flexible for me. That was especially appreciated today during church. What an awesome baby I have!

Here are some pics from last week:

Timmy's friend Ashlynn. He always reaches and want to touch her, but can't crawl yet, so the efforts are futile.
Hanging out on Macha's fun ducky quilt.
Hiking in Kensington. It was so beautiful, and then we were caught in a downpour!!Timmy loves this saucer now!

HOLLAND

This last weekend we went to Holland, MI for the TULIP FESTIVAL! Here are some pictures of the flowers. They have rows and rows of different types of tulips - very pretty. Here's Timmy at the Tulip Farm, sporting his baby sunglasses, which protect his little eyes from the sun, but are undoubtedly "dorky" as Scott puts it. But look at that winning smile!!
The whole Fam. We look a little jaded from our 3 hour drive. Scott says that it is lucky his face is shaded by his hat, so that we can still post the picture.
Here's Timmy in the flowers. Hmmm.....his pose reminded us of some Christ child paintings we have seen before...
