Blogspot posts the photos in backwards order sometimes, so this is from end to start of my trip out to Utah for Kinley and Oliver's wedding. But, I suppose you can think of it this way.....the temple sealing ceremony was the apex of the wedding, so we're just climbing backwards to the apex event! :) haha
My post starts with Taylor Swift, because I very last minute before taking my flight watched an hour of the Taylor Swift Era's Tour Movie with my dear friend, Emily Ellis Lowry right before catching an Uber to the airport. :) It was so fun! People were all out of their seats dancing! Most fun movie experience ever! I was sad I couldn't stay longer, but in true Katie-style, I showed up to the airport with just enough time to arrive at the gate when they were starting boarding. :)

Earlier that day, Melissa and Adam and I got to see Jennifer Hohl and Amy Richardson (our cousins) in Gardner Village's "Witchapaloosa: Running with the devil"! It was amazing!
Jenny has been producing this entertainment for 15 years and Amy has been in on it too for 12!

The show was a musical....hugely entertaining.....and so creative!
No wonder seats sell out so fast!

The lunch was also delicious as it's a dinner theatre.
Menu: Roasted herb turkey and creamy mashed potatoes smothered in a savory gravy. Served with cranberry sauce, chef's seasonal vegetables, mixed garden salad with our house ranch dressing, fresh-baked rolls and butter. Top off the meal with pumpkin pie cake for dessert.

On the way home from the wedding Scott, Brooklynn, Jack and also mom and dad got great views of the solar eclipse. I'm so glad they shared their photos, because I didn't see a thing. haha!

On Friday morning, after the wedding, Kent, Scott, Christa, Melissa and I met with some of the kids too to hike up Bridal Veil Falls.

Due to the time change, I enjoyed waking up at 5 am and watching the mountains come to life.

Kinley's wedding reception was at Sleepy Ridge in the Sunset Room. It was just perfect!

Grandpa and I ran to Smith's for a chalk pen, and
Grandma wrote Kinley and Oliver's name on the chalkboard the night before.

The best man and maid of honor had Kinley and Oliver play the shoe game so that we could see how well the couple know each other. They do! Really well! :)

When we went down for photos we noticed that Melissa and Adam were also married that same day and having a reception in the same building as Melissa and Adam's daugher. :) haha! Great photo opp!
The Ring Ceremony
Oliver and Kinley shared some beautiful vows to each other in a short ring ceremony before the reception began. It was fun to see her have the traditional "walk down the aisle" with her dad. :)

On Wednesday and even Thursday morning, the morning of the wedding, there was rain forecasted for the day.....all day. We weren't sure what to expect for photos that were planned for outside the temple, so we picked up some umbrellas on the way home from the bachelorette party, because at that time it was raining hard. I was imagining rain coming down, but really needing to get that iconic wedding photo in front of the temple.....and Kinley needing to protect her hair and makeup, of course.
Sure enough- If you buy umbrellas, it won't be raining!
Just overcast, which is actually great for pictures. So, that was a blessing!

Adam brought Costa Vida for the whole group before heading off the the Provo City Temple!

The night before, the bridesmaids had a fun Bachelorette party
They took a 30 minute pole dancing class
And 30 minute Silks class
The girls then returned to Morgan Manor to enjoy some fun Wedding Themed movies with some fun snacks, popcorn, fruit and drinks Melissa had prepared for them.
Oliver and his boys also had a Bachelor Party night together at a trampoline park.
Bounce and climb out all the pre-wedding jitters! Great idea to have such active parties!
I had some wrapping of gifts and writing of wedding cards to do as I arrived.
Melissa and I accompanied Kinley to the nail salon the day before the wedding for a mani/pedi. Her white nail polish was beautiful!
Melissa and I ran to a few stores to get a few items needed for the reception and loaded the Suburban with Mom and Dad. She had prepared all the decorations and photos so lovingly and even made a pot of soup for us to eat as we prepared for the day.
When Kinley and Oliver arrived, I went with them to give their car a detail. They even got a free car wash from the Duck Wash when we mentioned they were getting married the next day. :)

So.....even though this was a backwards post, I hope that it shared the essence of what a wonderful celebration it was to be with Kinley and Oliver as they officially started their new family and were sealed together for Time and All Eternity in the Provo City Temple.
The planning was impeccable. It was so fun to meet Oliver's parents for the first time and see his siblings again. The sealing was beautiful with the sealer taking so much time to counsel and give advice and scripture. The reception could not have gone better and it was really fun to see so many family members and reconnect with them, especially my parents and brother and sister and their families.
Also, Aunt Joanne, Uncle Preston and Aunt Marilee, Emily Holmgren, Heather & Jared Halloway, Aunt Judy, and many many more friends and family.
The bride and groom can be so proud of all their planning and I hope they thoroughly enjoyed their very special day and that they can reflect fondly on it forever. Sure love you Oliver and Kinley!
