The week in review

 Cora has been enjoying a little "quiet time" every day playing with her castle.   Ollie really enjoys the castle too, especially opening and closing the castle door.  

Scott had a work retreat hike.  It's especially nice to hike when you are "supposed" to be there.  

Guilt-free time to play!

Here is Timmy at Pinewood Derby.   3rd annual for Timmy.  He was excited to take home 1st place!

Aaron also did very well for his first Pinewood derby, taking 3rd place!

 This morning, the boys' scout troop volunteered at the Special Olympics in Boston.

 Timmy and Aaron were dedicated volunteers!  I wish I had a pedometer on them.  I would bet that they tracked 4-6 miles of running as they ran "run times" back and forth from the finish line to the awards station.

The kids were all great at cheering for participants 

and showing them to the awards tent after each race.  Great experience!  Aaron was begging to stay longer after 3.5 hours, and can't wait to go back next year.

Spring Concert

Congratulations to Timmy on his Spring Concert

We really enjoyed seeing him play.

No pics - but the boys had their BLUE and GOLD banquet for scouts and came home with a bag full of merit badges.  They have done some really neat activities in scouts, and we're grateful for all they have learned.

 

 I spend a good amount of my day feeding this boy and cleaning up his eating station.

Might as well have a few pictures of this normal day-to-day part of life.

I love that he puts his feet up on the tray while he eats. :)

Gegensaetze ( Opposites) the pop-up book has had a place in our home for 13 years now.  

It deserves a final funeral picture, after getting "babied."    

I bought this book along with 3 others on a trip to Germany in Dec. 2004.   I was dating a certain handsome fellow and foresaw us teaching our beautiful red-headed children to speak German someday.  And it all came true......except the red-headed part.  My genes are too powerful.
