Ah - Fall in New England. Does it get any better than this? I wish all days could be Fall days.
The photos uploaded from the end of September to the beginning, so we'll go backwards in time.
The Blackout Game in Windham is the event of the year. Everyone is there!
Unless, you are at the ward campout....then Cora and Aaron are there. They came all the way to Zions Camp late in the night to join us camping. :)
Can you see Cora in the line up cheering the cancer fighters on?
Tim started his last season of cross country meets!
Scott took the kids and Anna to the Umass Hockey Game whilst I was camping with my girlfriends in Cape Cod
Second annual Cape Cod trip
The Brewster Store on the cape is so cool
Campers
Scott and Cora did some mountain biking. Scott's knee was really bothering him, but biking was a good substitute for soccer. He's got some meniscal tears, so his soccer days are likely over.
Normal life. Always fighting to put away the shoe pile.
Tim getting senior portraits
I was in charge of keeping kids happy. :)
Cora is still walking Curtis after school She's done it 1-5 times a week for 3 years.
Tim took Chelsea to the Isabella Gardner Museum
I decided to make a quick stop at the Deerfield Fair after the Ward Campout. It was crazy HUGE!
So expensive...rides, food, entrance....everything is really pricey, but I enjoyed getting a quick look at all the fuss. This is supposed to be a smaller one compared to Topsfield fair too, but it was huge.
Zions Camp at the Waterfront in the morning

The Blackout Game
Cora's "besties" the Blackout Game
Red letter day
Tim got his first haircut that I can remember that wasn't at home with Dad
The barber gave him a "Fade"
Scott was promoted to FULL professor! Go Scott!
They had a fancy dinner for all the professors moving up in the world.
These are those in Engineering
The whole group of new full professors in all fields at Umass Lowell
A little testing Scott is working on
"Put on the whole armor of God!
Scott started teaching a mission prep class to Tim, Aaron, Lizmel and Daritza
It's been fun!
We had Crystal, Jeremiah and Jerome for dinner
Nice to get to know them and enjoy the nice weather
I got my first tick bite. Ugh! I got the antibiotic and had the tick tested.
It came back negative for Lyme. I feel pretty safe with both measures having been taken.
Took the kids to Screamfest at Lake Canobie Park
The sunset was amazing!
Parker and Ollie with the ghoul
Charlie and Anna
Go Tim!!
We had Tim's whole cross country team for dinner in our yard. Sounds pretty simple, but it was a feat!
Tim said it was a huge success and that everyone had a great time!
Ninja Class with Jacob and Mason
Ollie's activity days group made thank you cards for the firefighters in our area. Ollie delivered them to our firestation in Windham. They gave him a bunch of fun thank you items too!
I'm full of dirt in the face after all the yard work I've been doing!
I was really motivated to try to get up all the piles of stuff and grossly tall weeds for the cross country dinner.
We had an epic garden this year by the way. I spent like $300 on a bunch of stuff (mostly perennials) Scott wanted to plant.
We got a kick out of seeing what came up this year and what grew like crazy. We also had the challenge of trying to eat it all!

Lisa got baptized!
Ollie had a riot at his friend Travis's birthday party
They rented a video game truck...
And played lawn games
Aaron hosted Grant's birthday party in our yard with paintball!
Scott helped too
Aaron did a great job explaining the safety and rules
I think the boys had a great time!
Cora and I made pipe cleaner flowers at a YW/RS event
Christian and Ollie found this cool sign in the woods!
Tim, Tyler and Noah after the race
Megan got baptized!
Scott took the kids to an airshow
They had a lot of rain, but still had fun checking it out
My cookbook club is cooking our way through the Magnolia Table
So far I've made Beef Enchiladas and Cauliflower Soup.
It's good for me to force me to try a new recipe and prepare dinner in advance at least once a month
instead of a panicked "What should we make tonight??"
We did some purging. Took me over a year, but I finally decided we could donate Bella's cage. I just can't stand the idea of having to keep a pet safe again. And I can't stand leaving a bird in a cage.
The two don't go together so well. We donated to a rescue center that will use it well!
I also donated these kids dishes to a school. Very sentimental. I used to play with these as a child.
I think my mom made the bag to go with them.
More running!! Tim improved so much in his running this year! I am so proud of him!
Ollie is doing well with karate! A sport Charlie introduced him to.
He also went climbing with Scott
A highlight for me this Fall was hiking Mt. Lafayette with Tim and Aaron
It was my summer goal to hike it again (I did it once before about 6-7 years ago.)
It felt harder this time around! We celebrated our feat with Super secret ice cream
The basil ice cream was so good! and the fresh mint! Mmmmm!
James Call got married to Willow!! They had a casual ice cream and shaved ice reception.
We kayak/canoed Mine Falls Park
The kids had a stake school kick off event in Methuen with some lawn games
First day of school pick up
First day of 3rd grade
First day of 11th grade
First day of 12th grade
First day of 6th grade
Before school started we purged the shoes and gave everyone 3 rows each on a shoe rack to keep all their shoes. It is a relief to have space for everyone's huge collection now!
We helped weed Theresa L. 's garden bed and fluff her mulch.
We were in Boston for an attempt at a dental appointment that didn't work out.
So, we made the best of it and went to the Isabella Gardner Museum
It had been 7 years since I visited and the kids had never been. Tim liked it so well, he invited his friends to go back a few weeks later before they all turn 18. Kids 17 and under are free!
The kids love the zip line in our yard, especially not that it's low enough to get on, and has a nice steady brake system. Scott built a platform to easily climb on.
Right before school started, Cora and Ollie participated as Entrepreneurs in the Kids Market in Westford.
That was September! Whew! I have a take a breath! :)
