Playing with cameras...

When children play with cameras...

When adults play with cameras (with their children, of course)...
So I taught the kids about animation with this stop motion app.  They decided (with my influence) what to film.  It was pretty cool, but A-man kept taking the picture before my hand was out of the scene.  It was a good parenting thought, but I don't think they are old enough to have stop-motion patience.

Hohes Venn once again....

First off, a pic for Sophie...

Everything was dead out there, but dead stuff can be nice too.
and when I found a cool "backdrop" (an old church in the swamp) these were the most serious shots of the bunch.

Karnival and more

At our pancake breakfast, the boys were saying "Please pass the syrup Mudder!"
(The "syrup mother" is Mrs. Butterworths.)
I asked Timmy, "Timmy, who is the most important to me?" and he answered
"Me....
and Aaron....
and baby.....
oh......and Daddy, because he has to yell at the kids."

We had "Karnival" this week in Germany.  There are parades ALL over where you dress up, stand on the parade route and collect masses of candy.  The kids each had a huge shopping bag full of candy at the end.

We have been sorting Karnival candy this week, and eating a lot of it too!  Aaron and Timmy were particularly interested in the tattoos wrapped around a piece of stale, disgusting bubblegum.  They were frustrated though, because (perhaps they were too old, or a little humid...I don't know why) they would not peal a whole picture off onto one side of the tattoo, so they had a bunch of spotty 1/2 tattoos all over their arms and legs.

We pulled out our tattoos from the Pirate birthday and used those instead.  Aaron also found a mustache in the party bag, and decided to wear that all day today.  I kept forgetting that he was wearing it, but when we passed kids and adults who would snicker and laugh, I would remember. :)
