Aaron had a blood test which came up with unusually low Ferriten levels, which is a reflection of low-iron. We are trying to eat more cow....and less of the milk the cow produces, combined with Iron drops with Vitamin C.
I was sick with the flu. The REAL flu. The kind that makes your whole body ache, right down to the roots of your teeth, and deep into the sinuses in the jaw, temples and inside tips of the eyebrows. It was painful. For many days. After two weeks, I am finally feeling back to normal.
Cora is standing nicely for seconds at a time. Not a lot of interest in walking yet. She seems to be less contended with the world in general though, and I think it is coming. She does like to crawl around the apartment, and seems to get a thrill out of following the boys around and trying to get into their Lego Chima. The boys have forbidden it. They periodically place signs on the door for her to know that she is forbidden to enter. Case for this week:
Timmy is reading up a storm. He is trying to earn points on Antolin.de, every day or every other day by reading a book (in German). He is starting to get it. It is hard, and can be very slow, but he is a trooper, and has kept at it, and it seems to be getting easier. He also likes to make his own "books" with pictures. Mostly, he makes up stories about the Lego Chima characters.
Cora is not happy to be restrained into her highchair, but flips and stands so quickly that we have to. This is causing a lot of unhappiness at the dinner table. On the plus side, look at those razor-sharp 4 front teeth ripping through that apple? She's really growing up and learning to chew and eat everything. Her favorite food lately is cooked celery.
Timmy lost his two front teeth about a month ago.
Aaron lost his FIRST tooth (bottom left) last week. He was SO excited for the tooth fairy to visit and of course..... I forgot. He had to remind me.....because he knows that I am the tooth fairy. That happened one night when Timmy came crying out of his room that the tooth fairy hadn't come yet. He had been waiting up patiently for hours so he could "catch" the tooth fairy and find out who it is that leaves the Euro. I decided to just "sneak" in and let him catch me after that. I couldn't handle the tears. Both he and Aaron were so delighted to catch me in the tooth/Euro swap.
We can still have fun pretending together though and doing the "tooth fairy" tradition.
