Everything I know about Germans

THIS list made me laugh a lot, because there are SO many things on the list that are really true, but after living here for 3 years, I had forgotten some were ever new to me.

For example, that you should never have bare feet, because "don't you know you will catch a cold?"

Also the extremely rapid grocery check-out.    Also the punctuality, the efficiency, the awesome recycling..... I love it!

I've gotten used to the gym being warm and not air conditioned as well. That was hard at first, but now I am used to it.   I think it will bother me now to be in air conditioned buildings that are overly-cool.

I will miss some things VERY very much about this beautiful country, wonderful people and very interesting and nice culture.

We had some of Scott's work colleagues for dinner last night.  Two had been in Michigan for 6 months last year.  I asked what surprised them about our culture/country.  They said the gap in the toilet stalls between the door and walls was shocking.  "You can actually see the people outside while you are using the toilet!" they said.   They are right!  What is up with that?!  The stalls here are tight. :)
