We had such a beautiful Christmas, and are really enjoying the school break!
Pictures can't depict what a peaceful and happy time this is for our family.
We are truly so grateful
Waterville Valley
A snowy hike in our backyard
Caroling to Betty in "the city"
Timmy's homemade gingerbread cookies that he made for our new neighbors
Franconia
Cannon Mtn closed last minute so we changed course and .....
hiked the Flume Gorge!
The Christmas Loft was empty for Christmas Eve!
It was awesome!
Hiking to the huge Teeter-totter
Scott made our traditional "Bethlehem dinner" sitting on the floor in the nook.
We don't have any photos, but it is just simple and quiet, and set a reverent mood.
Christmas Day
Egg Casserole and Fruit for Breakfast with Apple Cider
Skyping with the Stapleton Family
The kids went on a short hike and then went home for a movie.
Scott and I went for a longer 2 hour hike in the rain, and bushwacked through a new area we hadn't hiked yet.
Skyping with the Parkers
Can't wait to try out the new kayaks in summer!
During the break, we've been biking.....
and painting slowflakes....
It's been a wonderful Christmas!
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year tomorrow!

Looks like you guys had a great Christmas!
Sometimes reading your blog is like reading Little Women.
PS: That picture of Ollie on the couch with the quilt! Those eyes!!
Yes Cari, and complete with Scott playing the part of Amy Marsh when he fell into the water trying to walk on the not-quite-thick-enough ice the other day! :) hahaha
