June Part III: A few more visitors and a few more moments

A few moments in between visitors that were fun:

Aaron and Timmy's 6th and 7th grade Band Concert

It was a hot, hot day.  We found a place in the shade to watch, but it was still a hot hot day!

Aaron was on the Bass Drum

Tim played in the 7th grade band, the Honors Band and the Jazz Band

Directly after the band concerts, Tim, Aaron and Cora had their piano recital

They all played very well 

We were so happy to be inside for the recital after 3 hours of heat at the band concert.  

The Lewis's put on a beautiful program and excellent refreshments after.

In a crunch, I was the best hula instructor the ward could find for their youth luau 😆   

I pulled out what Auntie Char taught me 20 years ago and gave a quick little instruction on ancient and modern hula.   The YM/YW leaders pulled off a fun little luau, complete with shaved ice and ice cream!  Mmmmm!

Aaron was dreaming of this Teeter-Totter for months.  

It's finally come to fruition, and everyone has enjoyed trying it out on their bikes.

Scott, Tim and Aaron had a great time camping for two nights with the YM in Franconian Notch.  They went cliff jumping off this rock, which is taller than it looks with water much deeper than it looks.

They also tried the Natural waterslides at Franconian Falls.

I was just around the corner with my dear friend, Julie.  She came out with her son to see some of New England.  We went to the Lost River Gorge together, and it was really really fun!

Paradise Falls

It's a fun boardwalk hike, but the most fun are these little loops you can do through caves along the way

This is the tightest cave.  To enter, you have to squeeze through the gauge.  If you can't squeeze through here, you won't make it!  It sure was a tight fit but we all made it!

After the gorge, we took the Cannon Mtn. Tram up the mountain.  The views are incredible, and there is a short hike around the mtn. to a tower.

We also visited the Basin which is a pretty spot on the river with a whirlpool

After bidding Julie farewell, we had one last visitor, my cousin, Juliet!

Having met just that day, she was still Cora's favorite person right away. 😆

I took Juliet to her summer job as a Camp Counselor at a nearby 

Girl Scout Camp where she'll stay two months.  The Lake was amazingly beautiful.

We're off to a good start this summer getting some sun at town beach

and connecting with some good friends.

You might wonder why he's flanked by only women?

We have two Dads in our Mom's Alliance, 

and Alberto is one of them.  This was a celebration just for Mom's alliance members. :)

This was a fun time to reconnect with so many women who I haven't seen in over a year due to COVID
