It's been a long while since I've done an update about life here in Massachusetts. It's been 8 months since we "landed" near Plymouth Rock. Feels like a long long time ago. Another life. Scott got to go back to Aachen last week and visit all our friends and some work colleagues. I was jealous!
A jumble of things we do and have done in the last months......
Catching Raindrops on tongues with our friend, Lucy.
Aaron and Timmy have a daily chore goal to get a new bike in April.
On cold days, playdates with friends occasionally have taken us to the indoor basketball court.
Lucky for us, Mike and Baerbel sent us St. Nikolaus Day gifts for Dec 6th.
Kids make their own fun in small spaces!
Timmy got one of these punching bags for his birthday.
It was super great kickboxing fun for 2 hours....and then it got a hole. We got our $2.50 worth. :)
The kids were fascinated with the TREE of LIFE that papa Tim showed them on Christmas Night in Draper, Utah.
Cora loves the Anderson Family, who had us for an amazing Thanksgiving Dinner. Oddly enough, I didn't take any photos of the amazing table. The conversation was just too much fun! But I did take one of Cora, because she was obsessed with this cute little stool.
Cora turned 2 in November. She is a light in our home. We love our Cora-girl.
Again, lucky for her that she has family that love her. :) Mike and Baerbel sent this darling dress, Macha and Papa Tim sent this fun Fish Game and Grandma and Grandpa Parker sent money to pick out her gifts.
She chose some new white shoes at Kmart, 2 new pink binkies, and a new princess sippy-cup at TJ Maxx. It was fun to let her pick somethings that she wanted. And I was delighted that she chose some shoes, because she wouldn't wear anything but her pink and orange sandals before that. :)
On Thanksgiving morning, we went to Good Harbor Beach, because Aaron had been there for a field trip and wanted the family to go all season. It was a beautiful spot.
Aaron learned all about Tide Pools in his first semester, and can tell you a lot about horseshoe crabs, sea stars, hermit crabs, clams, snails, and more.
Timmy's class studied "Acton Long Ago" for a time.
He got to dress up and visit the old school house.
He can tell you all sorts of interesting things about the "long ago" time (1800's), about the schoolmasters and kids at school, the machines and equipment they used, and they way the lived and moved.
The boys are now studying about Japan (Aaron) and Ghana (Timmy). Timmy says he really wants to visit Ghana someday, and that maybe he'll serve a mission there.
