Aaron and Scott's Germany Adventure

Scott planned a last minute German trip in late summer this year. Usually he visits in Spring during school time.  Since the kids were home anyway, we decided to allow a child to go with Scott on his business trip.  It was agreed that Aaron would go first, and each of the children is planning to have a turn to go on the years that Scott can manage to visit in the summertime.

Aaron was treated like royalty by Mike and Baerbel!
Check out this homemade cake!

Aaron loved to visit his old stomping grounds.
This is the zipline in the park by our home.

Reuniting with Louis was a lot of fun!

The Castle where Lucia works
Schloss Rahe

Aaron borrowed a bike and they biked around the neighborhood

Aaron got to visit his old Kindergarten, and his teacher , Frau Zimmerman, came right out and said "Aaron!" without any warning that he was coming.  It meant so much to him that she remembered him.  She gave him a tour of the classroom.

Mike and Baerbel took the boys to the trampoline park

Aaron said they worked up a thirst!

The next day, Aaron got to visit the Dreilaender Ecke where Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium come together in one spot.  There is a tower to view the area and a Labyrinth made of hedges.

This is the highest point in the Netherlands....only a few hundred feet above sealevel.

The Labyrinth from above.

Monique and Jackson!
Scott had an impromptu meetup with Monique and Jackson in the city.  He scared the living daylights out of her, teasing her by following her before he revealed his identity!  What a tease!

Aaron lost his hat, so Baerbel bought him a new one.  He loves it!

Ice cream for lunch is amazing!
Aaron was raving about the wonderful food he got to eat every day!

He was also gifted some amazing Magic the Gathering Cards!

Mike had an excellent idea to take the boys Go Carting in Vaals

Aaron and Scott said it was SUPER FAST!

Aaron was really excited about the beautiful breakfast spread that Baerbel put out each morning with fresh bread, fruit tea, fresh fruit....mmmmm!
