Happy 4-0 for Scott the Red

It is a red-letter year for Scott the Red.  40 years!

It was mostly a normal day with Scott working and having tons of meetings, me cleaning the house, the boys having soccer practice.....but we had a nice little lunchtime hike, and celebrated in the evening with cake & ice cream and gifts, and watched the end of "My Teacher Octopus," which is amazing and we recommend you watch too. :)

This is our teacher, frog.  Isn't he darling?  And he has the coolest color to blend with the leaves.

Scott's big gift was a new bike for his birthday, which has been pending shipping for 2 months.  It should arrive Monday.  He got all the stuff to set it up with tubeless tires when it arrives though.  he can't wait to try out the trails on a real bike.....as opposed to the one I found in a free pile a few months ago, which has broken piece by piece ever since.  haha
