Last few days with the cousins!

Documenting the last few days of our fun week with Dan and Janet's family
Janet, Brad, Seth, Claire and I enjoyed a fun day at the Boda Borg.
It's for groups of 3-5 and you can enter over and over these rooms and try to figure out how to move from room to room and solve the puzzle.  If you move through all rooms of a puzzle you get a special card to say you finished it.  It was tricky, but fun!

You enter the room and have no instructions, so you just have to guess what you are supposed to do to exit that room.  If you guess correctly, there is a green arrow above the door to allow you to enter the next room.

On our way out of town, we stopped by this monument in Medford that Janice and I found earlier.
Mystic Indian Remains are buried here.  Ancestors of ours!

This delicious Ramen Restaurant was very welcome!
We ate at a park and got fueled up. Mmmmmmm

Saturday was Dan's birthday!

We hiked the Flume Gorge in Franconian Notch
I love this beautiful covered bridge on the path

The Flume

Afterward, we visited the viewing site for the Man of the Mountain

Though the Rocks of his face fell, the monument is filled with photos and a viewing area where you can really get a feel for why is was such an historic part of New Hampshire history.

It was also HOT so we cooled off in the river

The New Hampshire Ski museum was a fun, and free, stop.

The Basin was also a beautiful and worthwhile stop.

We got fueled up at G.H. Pizza with delicious "grinders" and pizza.
The atmosphere was a bit lacking, but it was great food.

Janet and I stopped by the Concord Capital Building on the way home.
This was of General John Stark who coined the phrase "Live Free or Die"

Back at the Ranch we had many hours of fun out in the yard and woods.
Everyone took turns riding bikes around our property, the Beaver Pond area and the high school trails as well.   The electric bike was also fun to cruise around the see the neighborhood with.

We had cake and ice cream....finally fulfilling Cora and Oliver's dream to have carrot cake....something they pestered me the whole week about not making for Easter. 😄

Sunday was church and then all about finishing the Fan Film Star Wars movie the kids wrote and filmed several times during the week

Unfortunately, Dan and Scott went a bit off the main trails and brought two little friends back with them.  Though nothing was imbedded, it got us all itching and scratching and worrying about ticks....ugh....even now!  :)

It was a great week!   We were all tuckered out when it was over.

Thanks for Visiting the us in the Great State of New Hampshire Dan, Janet and crew!

(My fish filet looked awfully similar to the state of New Hampshire this week....and Vermont if you turn it upside down. hahaha)

PS - one day in the trip I didn't document was Vermont Day.  I stayed back to get Ollie to preschool and the group was able to travel lite in one mini van to Sharon, VT, Joseph Smith's birthplace and Woodstock.  They stopped by Dartmouth and the Shaker Village as well.   Said they had a great day!  I just don't have any great photos to share. :)

We were lucky with great weather and had such a great time finally seeing family after this pandemic year of isolation.  Much love to everyone!  Can't wait to see more family out next month 💛
