Baby Salil

More SALIL!
Here's the last picture we got and you can see by the images below how far he's come in the last 6 days since he was born on Sunday.

The latest news from Allie "Salil's EEG came back negative and while his MRI did reveal he had sustained a brain injury from lack of oxygen following his aspiration, it's very very mild.  It is likely it will not impact him at all, but at most, he may have very small difficulties with strength on his right side.  This is honestly best case scenario aside from no injuries at all.  He'll need to stay in NICU for at least 5 or so days to wean him off oxygen, then we will have follow up care with neurology for the next year or two.  Great news all in all, he's amazing"

We are so happy that little baby Salil is doing so well and will likely be home in 5 days.
We're already in love with him!

These are the first pictures when he was needing breathing helps.
He's now just slowly coming off of oxygen.

Again, we're just so so happy that he's safe.  We pray for his continued health every day.
Sending much love to Allie and Sanchit and baby Salil!!

Amidst Allie and Salil's most wonderful and amazing recovery, life at our home has continued on.
As you can see we have worn out both ourselves and the kids with summer fun.

I'm completely overrun as a "secretary" to my children's social and educational lives.  Haha
Here are some of the events and opportunities the kids have had:

The Windham Car Show

Top of Letizio Tower

Cora got a haircut

Ollie, Cora and I met friends from church at "Field of Dreams" Park

Connor, Siri, C.C. and Orion
We had fun at the playground and hiking around

Ollie gets on really well with Orion, Jefferson, Connor and Grant
Cora gets along really well with Karina and Audrey
.....and everyone loves cute Elira!

Aaron "got" to have the "experience" (trauma) of being attacked by wasps after driving the lawnmower over an inground wasps nest.  He got 4 stings, and had to get some TLC, but recovered well.
No anaphylaxis! So that's good.

Cora has her first job!  She has been walking Curtis Pug, and now that his family is on vaca, she is also feeding their cats and fish, watering/rotating plants, and bringing in the mail.

T & A got to attend the Teen Murder Mystery dinner at the library this week.
It sounded like great food and a lot of fun!

Ollie got a letter from his new teacher!  So excited to start school this year!
He wrote her an email right away to introduce himself back and she sent him a picture of her darling puppy who is also named Oliver and goes by Ollie. :)

Six Flags New England!  Tim got to go 3 times and Aaron twice with their good friend, Joe.

They had such a great time together and with a college brother, they even got to go once with no parents!  Very exciting!

Cora, Ollie and I got to go to Hampton State Beach while Scott was in NY with Allie and the boys were at Six Flags.  We went in the evening when it's quiet and the sun is mild.  It was really lovely.  Plus, the $15 parking was not being collected anymore during the 4-8 pm time, so it was also free! Yay!

That catches us up just this week.

I'll do a separate post to catch up on what we did earlier this summer.
We've been busy but haven't journaled much yet. :)
