Start to the 2021 School Year

Christiannah and Dolla stopped by while they were in town from TX
Fun surprise to see them!

That night I ran to Walmart and bought every school supply in the store and tried to make a fun
"Happy First day of School" table for the kids.

FIRST DAY OF 2nd GRADE

FIRST DAY OF 7th GRADE

FIRST DAY OF 8th GRADE

Let's pretend I remembered to take a FIRST DAY picture of Ollie too. :)

FIRST WEEK of PRE-K 4....
First week is good enough!

This was on my way in to take him tardy through the office.  Normally, we drop off at the pre-school door.  Just shows you how chaotic things were when school started.

It did not slow down either, because after the first 2 weeks, Oliver got a cold and then Cora, so they were home for more than a week.

Additionally, Aaron sprained his ankle the first day of school, but we didn't know for 3 weeks, until it just kept getting worse and worse.  He's in PT now and it's still healing, but it's very slow.  It's been over 6 weeks and he's still hurting in stairs and even just walking at the end of the day.

Our friends Chris and Monika invited us to go boating at Cobbetts Pond.  It was my first time to be invited on a boat in town, and it was awesome!
They have the boat set up to surf, which I was sure I couldn't do, but it was actually easier than waterskiing (because Chris is a good teacher), and so much fun!

Chris can pop up and throw the rope in to the boat and just surf with no rope

Ollie and Cora were snack-o-holics and did not want to go in the water, but enjoyed the ride....
mostly because of the snacks.

Cute notes from school in Cora's backpack

Ollie and I go on lots of hikes in our woods.  We take a hershey kiss with us and eat it at the beaver pond and at the end of the trail.  Little something to help him have a goal.

We had this angel over...oh yeah....and her family.
She is a DOLL!!

We had dinner and played Azul with the Garcia's and Nilssons

We also had Oliver's pre-school friends over to play.
They especially enjoyed throwing rocks in the pond.
